Why we train every caregiver ourselves

Certificates get people through the door. Our own training is what makes them ready for a first visit.

An instructor guiding a trainee's hands during a transfer demonstration

A CHHA certificate and a CPR card are the baseline. On top of that, every caregiver completes our own sessions before they meet a family: safe transfers, dementia communication, the daily visit log, and how to raise a concern.

Family members are welcome in most sessions. Caring for a parent is a skill, and nobody should have to learn it alone.
