Care, done well

Medication reminders that actually work

Pill boxes fail when they rely on memory. The systems that work rely on routine — and on someone noticing.

A weekly pill organiser beside a mug on a kitchen windowsill

Caregivers give medication reminders, not medication — the difference matters legally and practically. What we can do is build a routine that makes forgetting hard.

  • Tie each dose to something that already happens: the kettle, the news, the dog's walk
  • Use a dated weekly organiser filled by a family member or pharmacy
  • Keep the list on the fridge with the prescribing doctor's number
  • Log every reminder in the daily visit note
If the organiser is full on Tuesday evening, we know before anyone else does.
