People living with dementia are often left out of community life because events are loud, crowded and fast. A dementia-friendly afternoon flips every one of those settings.
How it is set up
- A calm venue with clear sightlines and easy exits
- Familiar songs, played softly, with room to move or sit
- Caregivers on hand so family members can relax
- No name badges, no queues, no schedule to keep to
The result is an afternoon where nobody has to perform. Families tell us it is the first outing in months where they were not watching the clock.
