The neighbours who notice
Most of the support a family gets never appears on a form: the man next door who checks the bins, the church group that drops soup.

We coordinate professional care, but we are always the second layer. The first is the neighbourhood: the people who notice a light left on, a paper not collected, a car that hasn't moved.
Community support, for us, means making that first layer stronger and better connected to the second. A caregiver who knows the neighbours' names. A coordinator whose number is on the church noticeboard.
Ways people already help
- Checking in on a set day each week
- Sharing a lift to appointments
- Passing on a concern to the family or to us
- Keeping a spare key with someone trusted
